Established in 2010, and nestled against the greenery of the Dooars and the foothills of the blue Himalayas, Ghoksadanga Birendra Mahavidyalaya, Ghoksadanga, Cooch Behar, has made steadfast progress on its designated path as envisaged by its founding fathers. Located in a rather remote area, the college has ceaselessly dedicated itself to the primary task of providing access to higher education and paving the path for the self-development of the inhabitants of the region. Committed to pursuing academic progress, the college has attempted to promote learning and knowledge development, inspire critical thinking and self-awareness and strengthen the foundations of intellectual growth of all who walk through its arches.
In the spirit of the adage, “A healthy mind in a healthy body”, Ghoksadanga Birendra Mahavidyalaya, has tried to offer an educational experience that through diverse activities, makes the students physically fit and active citizens of our country. It has tried to foster students’ personal growth and development through co-curricular activities that enable them to enhance professional skills that help them in their future careers. The institution is unwavering in its commitment to preparing the students for the future, where the knowledge and principles instilled here may stand by them in their lives. Above all, the college is devoted to the task of instilling a sense of social responsibility and for this, the students are involved in diverse community engagement initiatives, volunteer social service projects and community development programmes with the active participation of the NSS chapter of our college.
